Changes requirements for annual municipal budget audits
Summary of the bill as introduced: Requires that funds for the annual financial audit of the municipality be included in the municipality's annual budget. This bill also requires state payments to the municipality be suspended if the annual audit is not filed with the state treasurer within 13 months of the end of the audit year.
